Field, air, and desktop — how it lands.

A cross-section of recent projects across mineral exploration, infrastructure, environmental monitoring, and municipal work. Client details are anonymized where required.

Mineral exploration2025

Bedrock mapping, Abitibi greenstone belt

Timmins, ON

A junior explorer inherited a claim block with sparse legacy mapping. We ran a two-week outcrop program, integrated OGS assessment files, and produced a target-generation package on a fresh 1:5,000 base.

Outcome

Three drill-ready targets defined; drill program approved for the following season.

Infrastructure2025

Utility corridor orthomapping

Sudbury–Killarney corridor

Sixty-two kilometres of transmission right-of-way flown at 3 cm GSD across two field weeks. Vegetation encroachment, access-road condition, and structure inventory delivered as an interactive web map.

Outcome

Client cut their next-year vegetation-management scope by an estimated 18% and prioritized inspection visits by risk band.

Environmental2024–2025

Reclamation monitoring, historic silver camp

Cobalt, ON

Quarterly multispectral drone flights over a legacy tailings management area, tracking revegetation success and surface-water pooling against the closure plan.

Outcome

First season of change-detection deliverables accepted by the regulator; program continues on annual cycle.

Municipal2024

Township base-map refresh

Muskoka, ON

A cottage-country township needed an internal base-map that combined the province's parcel data with drone-derived orthos of shoreline hotspots. We stood up a QGIS-based stack and trained one staffer.

Outcome

Township runs its own annual ortho updates and stopped commissioning ad-hoc external maps.

Industrial2024–2025

Aggregate pit volumetrics program

Renfrew County, ON

Quarterly drone flights of four active pits with PPK ground control. Volume-change reporting delivered within five working days of each flight.

Outcome

Operator replaced an annual third-party survey with a program that is faster, cheaper, and defensible in aggregate-royalty reporting.

Drone
Environmental2024

Wetland baseline, Timmins–James Bay

Northeastern Ontario

Baseline vegetation and hydrology characterization for a large corridor study. Drone RGB and multispectral data classified into an ELC-compatible layer.

Outcome

Baseline package accepted into the client's environmental submission without follow-up requests.
